Award-winning multi-hyphenate Keke Palmer is no stranger to opening up about her life. This week, she announced her new book, Master of Me (Flatiron Books, November 19, 2024), which is now available for pre-order.
“I can’t wait to go on this journey with y’all,” Palmer says via Instagram. “I’m covering so many topics from imposter-syndrome to co-parenting, to life not working out the way you thought it was in your 20’s.”
Palmer first shared her life journey in 2017’s I Don’t Belong to You: Quiet the Noise and Find Your Voice (one of our favorites!), which she wrote when she was 21-years-old. Nearly a decade later, one can only imagine how her views and insights have evolved.
SBC anticipates this new release because I Don’t Belong to You made such a strong impression on us. It excels at being a book of memoir-inspiration, and even what we dubbed a “youth-empowerment book.”
In it, Palmer not only gives us tea, but wisdom as well–such as being a self-starter and creating one’s own opportunities. We expect the same from Master of Me, especially given everything she has experienced since then from motherhood and getting nominated for an Oscar for the first time to starting her own network. And we’d be remiss to exclude the time her personal life dominated the headlines like never before.
Master of Me marks Palmer’s seventh book. In 2021, under Amazon Books and with Jasmine Guillory, she released the series Southern Belle Insults, based on her viral character Lady Miss Jacqueline.
