dr tostado and book.pngPeople generally become doctors because they want to save lives. They want to help people. But what if a doctor didn’t feel he was truly making a difference? What if he didn’t believe he was helping people? Take Roberto Tostado, MD, a physician of nearly 30 years, entrepreneur, and author of wtf* is wrong with our health? *what the food: A Rebel Physician’s Manifesto for Reversing Disease and Increasing Smiles, who transitioned from family medicine to regenerative medicine, because he wanted to make a difference in patients’ lives.

“Over the years, basically what happened was I began to realize I felt uncomfortable,” the California-based doctor told So Booking Cool. “I had this crisis with my conscious because I felt that all I was doing as a medical doctor was managing disease and managing people’s problems with medication upon medication. And so, I took a step back from this whole thing and thought there has to be a better option than this.”

Despite colleagues telling Dr. Tostado he would fail, the change of direction in his career has been nothing short of fulfilling. Through regenerative medicine the Board Certified physician has been able to reverse patients’ diabetes, high blood pressure, balance hormones, and more. His mentality is that health starts in the kitchen, not in the doctor’s office. He founded the The IBody Wellness Center, which specializes in Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy, Stem Cell, Detoxification Therapy and Medically Supervised Weight Loss Programs.
