TAMARRYD

Tamar Rydzinski, Vice President, Director of Subsidiary Rights at the Laura Dail Literary Agency got bitten by the book industry bug while interning at an agency. At the time, she attended Yeshiva University, where she majored in Literature and minored in Business. Now with almost 12 years in her career (she previously worked at Greenburger Associates before joining Laura Dail in 2015) Rydzinski tells us how she’s seen the industry change compared to when she first started, such as the expansion of the young adult market and e-books, the mistakes writers make in their queries, and the details on book auctions.

Book auctions are when publishers bid on a book. You would not be wrong to describe it as a competition. To hear more about Rydzinski’s expertise and perspective, as well as some of the authors she represents (including New York Times bestselling American Fantasy author Sarah J. Mass), hit play below!
