Academic and author Rachelle Storm is bidding farewell to her science fiction romance series Absolution with the fourth and final book, Apocalypsis. In a recent interview with SBC, she reflected on what the success of her literature means. Her series has sold over 100,000 copies globally.
“It’s not about the numbers,” she said. “It’s about the people. I’ve always said from the beginning that I wanted to share a story with people because I’ve always had stories shared with me. And I love fandom, and I love escapism. And to know that now people can pick up a [Absolution] book when they’re feeling down or they need a break from the world and the news, and they can read this, and they’re actually connecting with it–that’s an amazing feeling.”
