The conversation continues with recent SBC guest Jim Coleman, a children’s and adult author, and the owner of Coleman Crest Farms, who’s excelled on Wall Street for decades. In part 2, he discusses his thoughts on wealth, financial independence, political power, and his favorite ways to uplift communities. During the interview, he encourages young people to not only attend college, but to maximize the experience.
“I tell students all the time, go to college, but be serious about it,” Coleman tells So Booking Cool. “Study something that you’re going to make an income on. Study something that you’re good at. The days of just do what you like–that’s not enough. Do something and study something that you’re good at, that the market would be willing to pay you enough for you to be sustainable, where you can create enough savings to where then you can do what you like. That’s a big difference than ‘I’m going to spend my next four years, leave with $100,000 in debt and can’t get a job.'”
