Watty award-winning and queer novelists Philline Harms and Lux Raven recently participated in SBC’s debut Author on Author episode, which featured conversations about authorhood and Pride month, available now.
Raven, who is best known for her Siren’s Mark series, has more than 2 million reads on Wattpad. The California resident’s original works which include the new title, Arrow to the Heart: A Dark Cupid Romance, have garnered more than 4 million reads.
Harms, who is based in Germany, is the author of Never Kiss Your Roommate, which has been read more than 3 million times. Her combined works, which includes the witchy sapphic title, Love and Other Wicked Things boasts over 9 million reads.
Both authors admitted they started out as LGBTQ allies before realizing they were not only supporters, but members of the community as well. In the conversation they discuss when they discovered Pride month; their thoughts on the notion of one “making their sexuality their personality”; non-queer writers writing queer characters; and “struggle queer stories.”
